To say Karyn was one of the most relaxed brides I have met to date is an understatement! We bumped into each other on the Tuesday before her wedding and I was expecting her to be rushing past but she was calmly heading for coffee with more or less everything in hand.

The morning of the wedding was no different. Hair and makeup were well on the way when I landed. Make up on the day was done by Ann Young with Shirley from Salon2 doing the hair.

Dalgan enjoys going out on regular hunts so he left a present of a stuffed deer teddy for Karyn. On closer inspection he had left a beautiful pair of diamond earrings. A lovely touch that I haven't seen before.

I met Dalgan outside Ransboro Church. He, like Karyn, was calm and I think more excited than nervous for the day ahead.

After the ceremony we headed to Sligo Abbey for the bridal photos. We had planned 45 minutes  for photos but the breeze on the day was cutting. I worked as quickly to produce some images that Karyn and Dalgan would hopefully love.

Possibly one of the quicker shoots I’ve been on, we were out of the Abbey and back in our cars heading to the hotel within 20 minutes. Wedding day's can change in a heart beat and the best thing I do is roll with it and think quick to get the image.

Karyn and Dalgan picked the Raddison, Sligo for their reception and as always they are excellent at what they provide. I always enjoy shooting in the venue. Feehily’s Florist provided the flowers for the bridal party along with beautiful arrangements dotted around the hotel.

The cake shot is one of the last photos I formally shoot with the couple. This is a great opportunity for them to take a breather and have a few moments to themselves to take it all in. I leave them to go mingle with the guests before the meal starts.

To me wedding days are great fun, full of love, emotion and craic ! Karyn and Dalgan’s wedding fitted all these perfectly and I would like to thank you for letting me be there to capture your day.
