Sile and Michael met in Australia where Michael is from. However they chose to get married in Sile's home town of Carrick-on-Shannnon in County Leitrim. On this occasion I got to spend time with the groom the morning of the wedding and i can confirm that a grooms prep is somewhat less hectic as Michael chose to manage his hair and makeup himself ;-)

The church was the beautiful St Mary’s Church, Carrick, where a live videostream was set up so the couples friends in Australia could be part of their big day.

After the ceremony we made a couple of stops for the bridal party photos before heading to Killronan Castle. Firstly along the river in Carrick with some gorgeous afternoon light and a second stop at the pier looking over Lough Meelagh, a place well known for its beautiful backdrop .

It was my first time working with the very talented photographer Andy Kilfeather. Andy is such an easygoing, natural photographer and working with him was a pleasure.

Michael and Sile, you are a lovely couple that I hope will have a long and happy marriage together. It was a pleasure meeting you and your family on such a big occasion and I thoroughly enjoyed capturing your wedding.
